Determining the Cost of Construction Projects

From May 29 to 31, 2024, Artem Bezuglyi, Director of SE «National Institute for Development Infrastructure», actively participated in the 16th Scientific and Practical Conference “Determining the Cost of Construction Projects, Design, Construction and Installation, and Repair Works Using Modern Technologies. Life Cycle Cost Management of Facilities – 2024”, where he delivered a presentation on the specifics of determining the cost of construction works and infrastructure maintenance.

The conference was held in the city of Ivano-Frankivsk and brought together specialists from construction and housing and communal services organizations, clients, investors, and designers from all regions of Ukraine.

As part of the event, Artem Bezuglyi, Director of SE «National Institute for Development Infrastructure», not only delivered a presentation on the specifics of determining the cost of construction works and infrastructure maintenance, but also took part in panel discussions on monitoring prices of material resources and in the preparation of the conference resolution, which will be submitted to the Ministry for Development of Communities, Territories and Infrastructure of Ukraine.

Among the key decisions included in the conference resolution were:

– the need to establish unified methodological and organizational approaches to monitoring prices of material resources (in particular, through the adoption of separate Cost Estimating Standards of Ukraine);
– improvement of methodological approaches to calculating risk allowances;
– regulatory settlement of the issue of determining the cost of routine repair and maintenance of buildings and structures.
