3D Printing in Construction
On March 3, 2024, the team of SE «National Institute for Development Infrastructure» held a meeting with representatives of “TEARM4UA”, who implemented a unique project in Ukraine — the 3D printing of a school in Lviv.
One of the organization’s founders, Jean-Christophe Bonis, and Partnership Manager Guillaume Banos presented innovative solutions to the Institute’s specialists that are important for implementation in infrastructure recovery projects.
3D printing in construction offers a number of advantages:
– reduction in the need to transport heavy materials, and consequently lower carbon emissions, contributing to a more environmentally oriented construction industry;
– the ability to create refined architectural designs, enabling the realization of architects’ creative ideas;
– efficient use of resources through precise layer-by-layer application, reducing construction waste and supporting the development of a green economy.
Several practical agreements have already been reached with partners:
– development of relevant regulatory documents;
– establishment of a joint coordination committee on the implementation of 3D construction within an international independent expert platform;
– creation of a testing and certification laboratory for materials used in 3D construction.
