Road and technical expertise

Forensic expertise is the study by an expert on the basis of special knowledge in the field of science, technology, crafts, art objects, processes and phenomena in order to give an opinion on the issues that are or will be the subject of judicial proceedings.

Forensic road and technical expertise is carried out within the expert specialty 10.16 "Road technical research".

The main tasks of the forensic road technical expertise are

• - Determination of compliance of actual road performance indicators (evenness, tyre grip coefficient, roughness, etc.) and geometric parameters of the road with the requirements of road safety and regulatory documentation;
• - Determination of compliance of road traffic management on the test road section with road traffic safety requirements;
• - Establishing a causal link between non-compliance of road conditions with the requirements of regulatory documents and the occurrence of a traffic accident.
