Conference of Young Scientists
On May 15, the team of SE «NIDI» organized and successfully held the Third All-Ukrainian Scientific Conference of Young Scientists in the Road Sector “Youth – Drivers of the Country’s Recovery”.
The conference provided an important opportunity for young scientists to present their research and achievements to the professional community across various thematic areas, including modern materials and technologies for infrastructure recovery, ecology and waste management, transport structures, digitalization, and strategic planning.
During the conference, 20 insightful and relevant presentations were delivered by young researchers from scientific institutions and universities across Ukraine:
– SE «National Institute for Development Infrastructure» and National Transport University, Kyiv;
– Kharkiv National Automobile and Highway University, Kharkiv;
– Lviv Polytechnic National University, Lviv;
– National University “Yuriy Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic”, Poltava;
– Lutsk National Technical University, Lutsk.
An independent expert jury evaluated the presentations based on relevance, quality of abstracts, scientific novelty, clarity of presentation materials, delivery, and the ability to answer questions. Three best presentations were selected:
1st place – Volodymyr Bidos (Lviv Polytechnic National University, Lviv), who presented cationic bitumen emulsions for cold in-place recycling technology of pavement structures;
2nd place – Serhii Zavhorodnii (SE «NIDI»), who, directly from a business trip during dynamic bridge testing, presented research on dynamic testing of bridges using impulse-induced vibration methods;
3rd place – Vadym Parnytskyi, Master’s student of Lutsk National Technical University, who presented on automation of work and material quantity estimation from BIM projects.
An interactive voting session among more than 100 participants also took place, and once again Volodymyr Bidos (Lviv Polytechnic National University) received the highest recognition.
