Engineer-Consultant (Construction)

From February 24 to 28, 2025, SE «National Institute for Development Infrastructure» conducted for the FIRST time a specialized training course for the preparation of construction engineers-consultants.

The role of a construction engineer-consultant is important, as they act as an expert who advises the client on project implementation, selects suppliers and contractors, and manages construction works.

The Institute’s team has previously conducted training courses in various fields, but exclusively in the road sector. Therefore, this training course for the entire construction sector became a real challenge.

We managed to bring together 20 highly qualified and extremely engaged participants from different regions of Ukraine, who over the course of a week attended 45 hours of lectures and practical sessions in various areas:

– Role and functions of a construction engineer-consultant;
– Regulatory and technical framework of construction;
– Development of design documentation and its expertise;
– Key requirements for placing construction products on the market, including certification of products and personnel;
– Pricing in construction;
– Fundamentals and selected practical aspects of public procurement;
– Technical supervision and quality control;
– Scientific and technical support at different stages of construction;
– Digital transformation, transport modelling, and modern information tools, including construction resource price monitoring and the Unified State Electronic System in Construction (EDESSB);
– International experience (FIDIC, CESMM);
– Risk management and pre-trial dispute resolution.

The development of the training center at SE «National Institute for Development Infrastructure» will contribute to increasing competition in the training market for both construction engineers-consultants and other responsible professionals in the construction sector.

We wish all participants successful certification in the profession of construction engineer-consultant at the Personnel Certification Body of SE «NIDI», accredited by NAAU.
