Training for Cost Estimators

From March 17 to 21, 2025, the team of SE «National Institute for Development Infrastructure» conducted for the FIRST time a training course for a design engineer in cost estimation documentation in the field of road construction.

The relevance of the event is related to the fact that a high qualification level of a cost engineer has a significant impact on the accurate and objective determination of the cost of construction, routine repair, and maintenance of roads.

For this course, we managed to bring together 15 specialists from different regions of Ukraine, who over the course of a week attended 40 hours of lectures and practical sessions in various areas:

– Features of pricing in road construction, including related works and services;
– Methodological approaches to developing cost estimating standards and calculating resource costs;
– The role and functions of a cost engineer;
– Regulatory and technical framework and regulatory support;
– Features of pricing in construction under the “Design–Build” scheme;
– Features of developing design documentation, its expertise, and determining its cost;
– Digital transformation and modern information tools, including price monitoring;
– Features of international experience based on CESMM;
– Master class on working with software systems.

We wish all participants of our training course successful certification in the profession at the Personnel Certification Body of SE «NIDI», accredited by NAAU.
