DSTU on Traffic Signals

On May 1, 2025, the team of SE «National Institute for Development Infrastructure» publicly presented the updated DSTU 4092:2024 “Road Traffic Safety. Traffic Signals. General Technical Specifications”, which came into force on that day.

More than 150 specialists from various organizations and companies joined the presentation, including representatives of clients, contractors, design organizations, research institutions, professional associations, suppliers of modern equipment, and the public.

Compared to the previous version of the standard, which had been in force since 2002, the updated DSTU 4092 includes many important innovations:

– alignment of the green traffic signal color range with the requirements of the European standard;
– introduction of sound and tactile duplication of traffic signal indications;
– expansion of traffic signal options and types;
– use of new arrow symbols on traffic signal indications;
– alignment of terminology with current regulatory documents, and much more.
