DSTU on Classification of Works

The team of SE “National Institute for Development Infrastructure” continues to actively work on improving Ukraine’s regulatory framework in the road sector.

On 1 October 2025, DSTU 8747:2025 “Public Roads. Types and Lists of Works for Repair and Maintenance”, developed by the team of SE “NIDI”, comes into force. On this occasion, we organized a public presentation of the updated standard.

The online session brought together nearly 250 specialists from various organizations and enterprises: representatives of clients, contractors, design organizations, research institutions, sectoral associations, suppliers of modern equipment, and members of the public.

Compared to the previous version in force since 2017, the updated DSTU 8747 includes a number of important innovations:

– clarified lists of road works for capital repair, routine repair, and maintenance, taking into account national and international experience, the development of new technologies, and modern approaches to the organization and execution of works;

– updated inter-repair service life periods of road pavement, defined depending on material type, road category, and pavement structure;

– updated road terminology in line with Ukrainian language standards and many other improvements.
