On 06–08 October in Lviv, the scientific and practical seminar “Legal and financial aspects in the road sector” commenced, organized by Ukravtodor jointly with SE “DerzhdorNDI”.

The event brings together representatives of all regional road services in both in-person and remote formats.

The main topics discussed during the first day of the seminar included:

  • the current state and prospects of financing in the road sector;
  • features of planning and execution of budget estimates for the maintenance of road authorities;
  • planning of expenses for official vehicles;
  • practical aspects of co-financing from local budgets for road development;
  • modern information systems for monitoring road expenditure and planning budgets of contracting authorities;
  • innovations in accounting in road construction;
  • court practice on resolving disputes in public procurement;
  • current issues of land acquisition for road construction;
  • court practice on compensation for damages caused by road traffic accidents.

The following day will address legislative and regulatory updates in the road sector, dispute resolution regarding work quality, and other operational challenges.

Events of this level enhance the qualification of specialists within the Ukravtodor system, improve awareness of the latest legal and financial developments, and help develop a unified corporate approach to solving common issues.
