RECOMMENDATIONS FOR BRIDGE RESTORATION

On 13 May 2022, the team of SE "DerzhdorNDI" held a presentation of the scientific and practical Recommendations on structural solutions for the reconstruction of damaged bridges and culverts, developed by specialists of our Institute within the 20th episode of the “Road Innovation Platform” via Zoom.

For a broad audience of more than 200 participants, including representatives of clients, contractors, designers, and other industry specialists, recommendations were presented for the design of both permanent and temporary bridge structures.

Our document includes a number of recommendations:

  • bridge structure clearance dimensions;
  • the most common bridge structural elements;
  • culvert options;
  • repair and corrosion protection of bridge and culvert elements;
  • materials for temporary bridges, including reuse of materials and use of local materials;
  • prefabricated steel modular bridges;
  • a list of applicable regulatory documents (DBN, VBN, GBN, DSTU, SOU, EN, etc.) – more than 60 valid documents.
