BIM
On January 29, 2026, the Director of the State Enterprise “National Institute for Development Infrastructure”, Artem Bezuhlyi, had the honor of being a speaker at the seminar “BIM in Reconstruction Projects: Government Requirements, International Experience and Ukrainian Practice”, held in Odesa as part of a project implemented by Connected Places Catapult (CPC) for the State Agency for Restoration and Infrastructure Development of Ukraine, with the support of the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO) of the United Kingdom.
In his speech, Artem Bezuhlyi emphasized that during the implementation of pilot BIM projects in Ukraine, it is important to provide scientific and technical support. This allows not only the use of tools, but also the development of well-founded approaches, standards, and practices that can be scaled at the national level.
An important issue that needs to be addressed in this context is the improvement of approaches to determining the cost of design works performed using BIM technologies. New processes, the level of model detail, data coordination, and interdisciplinary interaction significantly change the structure of labor costs — and therefore must be properly reflected in the cost-estimate regulatory framework.
We thank the organizers for the invitation and all participants for the strong professional discussion.
Special thanks to our specialists from the State Enterprise “National Institute for Infrastructure Development” for providing high-level technical support for the event.
Moving BIM in Ukraine forward.
