"PATHWAYS TO GREENER TRANSPORT INFRASTRUCTURE. SOLUTIONS AND POLICY OPTIONS FOR SUSTAINABLE ROAD AND RAIL NETWORKS IN EUROPE" FINAL INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE, BUKHAREST, ROMANIA
June 25, by the assistance of World Wildlife Fund (WWF) and within the framework of TRANSGREEN international environmental project, a final international conference took place in Bucharest, Romania, where Natalia Kharitonova, Head of Ecology and Subgrade Department of "DerzhdorNDI" SE participated as a part of Ukrainian delegation with a topic report "Pathways to Greener Transport Infrastructure. Solutions and Policy Options for Sustainable Road and Rail Networks in Europe".
In the framework of workshops the sustainable transport development of the Carpathians, technical solutions for minimizing of conflicts between wildlife and infrastructure had been discussed.
It had been presented the results of monitoring work, principles and recommendations for reducing the impact of the development of transport infrastructure on nature of the Carpathians mountain system countries that can be used on all levels of sustainable development of transport infrastructure: from initial planning and design to construction and operation.
