ROAD SAFETY
Specialists from the Road Safety Center of the State Enterprise “National Institute for Infrastructure Development” took part in the international exhibition Intertraffic Amsterdam 2026, which was held from March 10–13 in Amsterdam, Netherlands.
Intertraffic is one of the most authoritative global events in the field of road infrastructure, road safety, and intelligent transport systems. The exhibition brought together leading equipment manufacturers, technology companies, research institutions, and experts from various countries around the world.
During the event, specialists from the Center became familiar with the latest solutions in road markings, traffic signs, traffic management devices, traffic flow monitoring systems, and modern materials for road infrastructure.
Special attention was given to innovative road safety systems, in particular a new generation of cameras capable of automatically detecting not only traffic violations but also dangerous road situations — for example, a pedestrian stepping onto the roadway or the occurrence of a traffic accident — with immediate notification of relevant services.
As part of the exhibition, the Institute’s specialists also held working meetings with European developers and took part in professional discussions on adapting international experience for Ukrainian infrastructure recovery projects.
The acquired knowledge and developments are planned to be used in the Center’s further work — during road inspections, material testing, and improvement of the regulatory framework in the field of road safety.
