TRAINING ON TRANSPORT MODELLING

On January 17, 2023, the team of the State Enterprise “DerzhdorNDI”, together with colleagues from “Pro Mobility”, conducted a specialized scientific and practical training session titled “Using Transport Modelling for the Recovery of Ukraine” in Kyiv.

Despite all wartime challenges, the event was held in person for responsible specialists of regional road services and brought together around 50 participants from all regions of Ukraine.

Transport modelling is an important tool for making effective design decisions. The team of the State Enterprise “DerzhdorNDI” fully supports the need to apply transport modelling in the design of road construction projects.

Over the past year alone:

  • State building codes for the design and construction of public roads and streets in settlements have been updated;
  • Methodological recommendations for transport flow modelling have been developed for evaluating the effectiveness of design solutions in road infrastructure;
  • The new Rules and Methodology for determining the cost of road works and services include the possibility of accounting for transport modelling costs within the summary cost estimate.

We continue working together to ensure that Ukraine’s road infrastructure, after our victory, becomes the best in the world.
