TRANSPORT MODELING

Artem Bezuglyi, Director of “DerzhdorNDI” SE took part in the PTV User Group Meeting today, where the possibilities of modern transport modeling software complexes were considered.

The director told the audience about the regulatory support of transport modeling in Ukraine at the event.

“DerzhdorNDI” SE team has developed Amendment № 2 to DBN B.2.3.4 for the designing and construction of roads, which had been approved already by the Ministry of Regional Development and will come into force next year.

This document will give all users the following:

 

• clear definition of “TRANSPORT MODEL” concept;

• need to choose the design solutions and configuration of transport interchanges, considering the transport model indicators;

• possibility of definition of the transverse profile based on the transport model analysis.

 

Also our team is actively working on guidelines for traffic flows modeling for evaluation the effectiveness of design solutions for road infrastructure, which will include the following:

 

• clear terms and definitions used in transport modeling;

• recommended algorithm of actions for model construction;

• parameters of initial data, rules of development, calibration and validation of transport model.

 

Transport modeling - a priority development of requirements for modern design documentation for the most effective rehabilitation of roads in our country.
