TACTILE INDICATORS

“DerzhdorNDI” SE proposes to arrange warning directional tactile indicators on land pedestrian crossings in the project Amendments No. 1 to the “Street and Roads of Settlements”.

The following proposal was made on the basis of:

• studied experience of designing in many cities of Europe;

• practical using of tactile indicators, which improves safety for road users, especially for visually impaired people;

• already submitted proposals from not indifferent Ukrainian specialists.

Every day people with visual impairments have problems that most of us even don't know about their existence. For visually impaired people the usual walk along the street becomes a dangerous travel, especially if it is needed to cross the high-traffic  street.

Tactile indicators will provide the persons with disabilities all needed and sufficient information for safe and independent navigation in the road infrastructure of settlements.

“DerzhdorNDI” SE specialists continue to study and implement the European experience for creation of safe environment for all road users, especially during creating of equal conditions for people with disabilities and other low-mobility groups of people.
