SEMINAR ON MAINTENANCE

From March 26 to 27, the State Enterprise "National Institute of Infrastructure Development" together with the State Agency for the Restoration and Development of Infrastructure of Ukraine held a scientific and practical seminar "Modern Approaches and Practices in Road Maintenance".
This is the first such large-scale seminar held by the team of our Institute in the new status and with expanded powers.
We managed to
- Gather more than 350 participants from all over Ukraine;
- to attract a powerful international team from Lithuania, Spain, Germany and the Czech Republic, which presented interesting practical experience in road maintenance in different countries;
- to unite all balance holders of roads (public roads of state and local importance, as well as streets and roads of settlements) at one event;
- create more than 14 hours of unique professional content to be posted on our YouTube channel.
The seminar focuses on a wide range of issues related to road maintenance: pricing, procurement, new materials and technologies, regulatory support, bridge maintenance, road safety, work organization, digitalization and international practices.
Increasing the level of competence and knowledge of road workers is extremely important for the effective organization of a range of works for the continuous and safe movement of vehicles, taking into account the conditions of limited funding.
The seminar resulted in a number of solutions and proposals to improve approaches to road maintenance.
We are sincerely grateful to all the participants for their active and fruitful work, and to our speakers for their interesting practical reports, and we are working on replenishing the knowledge hub for road specialists in Ukraine.
