WORKSHOP ON DESIGNING- DAY 2

Today, on the second day of “Topical issues of public roads designing” scientific and practical workshop considered a number of issues among which were following:

• world best practices in road construction engineering, features of author's and technical supervision;

• national environmental standards in the designing and construction of roads;

• new and modern materials and technologies;

• use of industrial wastes;

• practical aspects of application of legislation regarding provision of construction products on the market;

 

Thanks for everyone who participated in the workshop, which were more than 200 specialists, customers, designers, scientists, experts and suppliers of materials, who were able to join in person and online. All participants of the workshop agreed to improve the designing matter in the following areas:

 

• active updating of the regulatory framework considering the best world practices;

• introduction of new materials and technologies;

• creation of clear qualification requirements and non-price criteria for selection of designers;

• risks minimizing and increasing the responsibility of certified professionals;

• improving approaches to determination of designing works cost;

• a systematic approach to professional development of responsible professionals.
