WORKSHOP ON DIGITALIZATION

On July 9–10, 2026, the team of SE "National Institute for Development Infrastructure", with the support of the State Agency for Restoration and Infrastructure Development of Ukraine and the Restoration and Infrastructure Development Service in Odesa Region, held the scientific and practical seminar "Digitalization in Infrastructure Restoration and Development: Trends and Innovations" in Odesa.

It became one of the largest industry events of the year, bringing together nearly 150 participants from all regions of Ukraine. The seminar was opened by Ihor Reva, Deputy Minister for Communities and Territories Development for Digital Development, Digital Transformations, and Digitalization.

During the two-day seminar, participants discussed:
• the results and experience of the digital transformation of the Restoration Agency, the regional Restoration Services, and SE "NIDI";
• modern dashboards and information and communication systems to support management decision-making;
• cybersecurity and cyber hygiene rules;
• practical digital tools — from multifunctional SHAFL poles and WiM systems to technologies for recognizing information from photo and video materials;
• the capabilities of artificial intelligence and the key directions of the Restoration Agency's digital transformation until 2030;
• BIM approaches, LIRA 10.16 software, JICA international technical assistance in road condition monitoring, and the AESUM bridge management system.

Participants gained up-to-date knowledge from leading industry experts, asked questions to specialists, exchanged practical experience during networking, and received certificates of participation.

Today, digitalization is not just a trend but one of the key tools for the efficient, transparent, and data-driven restoration of Ukraine's infrastructure. Events like this help unite the efforts of the government, business, and the scientific community to create a modern, resilient, and technologically advanced infrastructure system for the country.
