SECTION 2

The session of Section 2 “Traffic Safety” was held yesterday. As usually- in online mode.

During the session the concept and principles of creation of route orientation on public roads were considered, as well as the issue regarding possible cancellation of DSTU B.V.2.3-28: 2011 “Road metal barriers. Specifications. (GOST 26804-86, MOD)”.

Section members and invited participants discussed the following issues:

  • clarification of the basic principles of route orientation development;
  • making changes into the design of individual design signs;
  • possibilities and feasibility of changing of the road sign overall layout;
  • relevance and availability of the main technical characteristics of safety barriers in the current national standard.

Our goal is the maximum consideration by designers of the best world experience by improving of the principles of creation of route orientation. As the result, it will help to improve traffic safety, as proper traffic arrangement when choosing a direction will minimize the number of incorrect decisions adopted by drivers and prevent certain emergencies.

We continue an active work with public organizations, manufacturers of modern materials and other non-indifferent stakeholders for the quality implementation of “Big Construction” National Program.
