REPAIR OF PUBLIC ROADS
The Director of the State Enterprise “National Institute for Infrastructure Development”, Artem Bezuhlyi, took part in a meeting on public road repair chaired by the Prime Minister of Ukraine, Yuliia Svyrydenko.
A meeting was held on public road repairs with the Deputy Prime Minister, Oleksii Kuleba, Minister of Development of Communities and Territories of Ukraine, and the Head of the State Agency for Restoration and Infrastructure Development of Ukraine, Serhii Sukhomlyn.
Pothole repairs on international and national highways have already begun, including in frontline regions. These are not capital works, but basic safety and trafficability measures. Weather conditions allow repair crews to operate. The repairs are planned to be completed by June 1.
Following the meeting, additional funds will be allocated from the state budget reserve fund to support pothole repairs on roads in frontline regions and on high-traffic public roads of national importance.
Roads are a matter of effective logistics for the Defense Forces, evacuation of the wounded, as well as ensuring the economy and the life of communities.
