PUBLIC DISCUSSION

On August 30, the team of the State Enterprise “DerzhdorNDI” held the second public discussion of the draft DSTU 4092:202X “Road Safety. Traffic Lights. General Technical Requirements”.

More than 80 specialists from various regions of Ukraine took part in the event, representing design, manufacturing, contracting organizations, as well as client services.

During the discussion, specific technical requirements were addressed regarding:

– the traffic light signal color scheme and its compatibility with other documents;
– hoods and reflective screens for traffic lights and the feasibility of their use;
– countdown timers and the feasibility of their application;
– acoustic and tactile duplication devices;
– maximum installation height of bicycle traffic lights;
– traffic lights with chevron arrow symbols and the feasibility of transitioning to them;
– additional illumination of traffic light support structures and the feasibility of its use, among other issues.

All interested specialists are invited to submit their comments and proposals in writing by September 1, 2023, to the Institute’s official email: dornauka@dorndi.org.ua
