On the adoption of the national standard DSTU 8989: 2020 "Road Bridges Maintenance Guidelines"
The Department of Transport Structures and Cement Concrete Structures of the State Enterprise "DerzhdorNDI" developed DSTU 8989: 2020 "Road Bridges Maintenance Guidelines".
This standard was adopted by the National Standardization Body with effect from 01 July 2021.
The DSTU establishes requirements and rules for the maintenance of bridges, viaducts, overpasses (all bridges), classification, composition and rules for the maintenance of bridges of all systems and their structural elements located on public highways, namely:
bridge roadway;
bridge spans;
bridge supports;
underbridge bed and regulation structures.
Compliance with the standard requirements will ensure proper maintenance of bridges and increase their durability.
