INTERNATIONAL TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE
Today is a landmark day for the team of the SE "National Institute for Infrastructure Development".
For the first time in our 100-year history, we are receiving an unprecedented amount of international technical assistance as part of the Emergency Recovery and Reconstruction Project, funded by the Government of Japan through the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA).
The official handover ceremony was attended by Marina Denysiuk, Deputy Minister for Communities and Territories Development of Ukraine; Masashi Nakagome, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan to Ukraine; Serhii Sukhomlyn, Head of the State Agency for Restoration and Infrastructure Development of Ukraine; and Hideki Matsunaga, Chief Representative of the JICA Office in Ukraine.
The Institute received vehicles and unique equipment for Ukraine to survey, test, and certify bridges and roads, including:
-

-
8 GNSS receivers TOPCON HiPer HR;
-
1 dynamic bridge testing equipment set with a KYOWA EDX-200A-4H recorder;

The equipment and vehicles received will significantly enhance the Institute’s capabilities by reducing inspection time and increasing measurement accuracy.
Additionally, 24 new Toyota vehicles have been provided for the regional Infrastructure Restoration and Development Services. These will be further equipped with video surveillance systems and multi-channel profilometers to measure the IRI index as part of our continued collaboration.
SE "NIDI" expresses sincere gratitude for the invaluable assistance and heartfelt support from the people and Government of Japan, the Embassy of Japan in Ukraine, the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), the Ministry for Communities and Territories Development of Ukraine, and the State Agency for Restoration and Infrastructure Development of Ukraine.
