DISCUSSION ON DBN REGARDING BRIDGES

The team of the State Enterprise "National Institute for the Development of Infrastructure " has developed a draft of DBN V.2.3-22:202X "Bridges and Culverts. Basic Design Requirements"!

DBN-22 introduces several important innovations:

  • Clarification of key requirements for bridge structures and the service life of their elements;
  • Exclusion of certain types of asphalt concrete for pavement construction on bridge decks and for utility installations;
  • Inclusion of requirements for accessibility and the development of cycling infrastructure;
  • Consideration of European standards.

At the same time, given the provisions of the current DBN V.1.2-14:2018 "General Principles for Ensuring Reliability and Structural Safety of Buildings and Structures," which is of a higher level than DBN-22, there is a technical need to align the reliability coefficient requirements in DBN V.2.3-22 with those in DBN V.1.2-14.
