INNOVATIONS IN DBN FOR ROADS DESIGNING AND CONSTRUCTION

We invite you to the presentation of innovations that will be introduced in the road construction season 2022.

The Institute team developed Amendment No. 2 to DBN B.2.3-4: 2015 “Roads. Part I. Designing. Part II. Construction” which will come into force on 01.02.2022 in accordance with the order of Ministry of Development of Communities and Territories of Ukraine dated 22.10.2021 No. 258.

The main innovations are following:

 

• Prohibition of adjacent left turns with a traffic intensity of more than 20 thousand vehicles/ day;

• Stationary electric lighting on M-roads of I category with intensity over 30 thousand vehicles/ days;

• Overground pedestrian crossings through I-II category roads;

• Cancelling of pavement service life dependence from traffic intensity;

• Updating the requirements for establishing the minimum thicknesses of layers of non-rigid pavement;

• Requirements for planning and designing of cycling infrastructure, as well as ensuring the accessibility of low mobility groups of people.

 

New amendments to the State Construction Norms are focused on the best world experience, which is collected based on the results of scientific researches of our experts.
