TRAINING OF COST ESTIMATORS

The team of SE "National Institute for Infrastructure Development" conducted a training course for the first time to prepare an Engineer-Designer in cost estimation documentation in the field of road construction.

The high qualification level of a cost estimator engineer has a tremendous impact on the overall project financing, both at the stage of preparing investor cost documentation and during the project implementation.

For this course, we managed to gather 15 specialists from different regions of Ukraine. Over the course of a week, they completed 40 hours of lectures and practical training in various areas, including:

  • The role and functions of a cost estimator engineer;

  • Regulatory and technical framework;

  • Pricing specifics in construction under the "Design – Build" scheme;

  • Development of project documentation, its expertise, and cost determination;

  • Pricing specifics in road construction, including related works and services;

  • Methodological approaches to developing cost estimation standards and resource cost calculations;

  • Digital transformation and modern information tools, including price monitoring;

  • Features of international experience based on CESMM;

  • A master class on working with software solutions.

We wish all participants of our training course success in obtaining certification in the profession at the Personnel Certification Body of SE "NIDI," accredited by NAAU.
