SCIENTIFIC AND TECHNICAL COUNCIL
Today, a regular session of the Scientific and Technical Council of the Institute took place, where the results of researches works of three institutions - "DerzhdorNDI" State Enterprise, National Transport University (NTU) and Kharkiv National Road University (KhNADU) were considered.
Representatives of NTU presented researches and methodological recommendations for determination of geostatistical methods of rational volume of sample selection during engineering and geological surveys. The results of work can be used independently or in combination with the data of geological tests for solving the problems of engineering - geological surveys.
Representatives of KhNADU presented proposals for determination of modern requirements for road pavement smoothness indicators. As the result of work, the requirements for roads smoothness indicators have been developed in dependence of the road category and material of pavement construction.
Scientists of our Institute presented the results of researches of measuring of road signs quality characteristics indicators and developed methodological recommendations. The developed recommendations are using during checking the road signs quality with the use of light-reflective film on correspondence to the requirements of DSTU 4100: 2014 "Road safety - Road signs - General specifications - Rules of application".
During the discussion of results of each researching work, the Scientific and Technical Council of "DerzhdorNDI" State Enterprise approved the results of the researches of KhNADU and "DerzhdorNDI" State Enterprise and the researches results of NTU were sent to revision due to absence of practical developments. Specialists of NTU should present the production implementation of methods proposed in Regulation for re-examination.
