VI BRIDGE CONFERENCE

SE “National Institute for Development Infrastructure” invites you to the VI (Sixth) International Scientific and Practical Conference named after P.M. Koval “Restoration and Development of Bridges: Challenges, Trends, Innovations” 

The event will be held with the support of the State Agency for Restoration and Infrastructure Development of Ukraine.

Dates: September 9–11, 2026.

Location: Ivano-Frankivsk (for security reasons the exact venue will be communicated only to registered participants).

Main topics of the Conference: 

  • issues of developing a strategy for the restoration and development of Ukraine’s bridge infrastructure; 
  • current issues of operation, inspection, repair, reconstruction and construction of bridges; 
  • regulatory support for design, operation, testing, monitoring and restoration of transport structures; 
  • modern methods for assessing the technical condition and load-bearing capacity of bridges; 
  • systems for monitoring the technical condition of bridges and the use of real-time data; 
  • digitalization of bridge management, information-analytical systems, BIM and digital twins; 
  • application of artificial intelligence, laser scanning, UAVs, sensor systems and non-destructive testing methods; 
  • international experience in bridge asset management, repair planning and prioritization of restoration; 
  • engineering solutions to increase bridge resilience to military, climatic and operational impacts; 
  • new materials and technologies for repair, strengthening, protection and modernization of bridge structures; 
  • practical cases of restoration, construction, testing and monitoring of transport structures.

Tentative Conference schedule: 
 September 9, 09:00–17:00 – participant registration and plenary sessions; 
 September 10, 10:00–17:00 – plenary sessions; 
 September 11, 10:00–13:00 – technical site visit.
