BRIDGE CONFERENCE . FINAL

"Current issues of bridge economy and ways of its improvement" - P.M. Koval 2nd International Scientific and Practical Conference, organized by Ukravtodor together with "DerzhdorNDI" SE completed its work on December 9.

Based on the results of the speeches of specialists from Ukraine, USA, Great Britain, Germany, Italy and Austria, the following proposals were prepared for state authorities and bridge balance holders:

• to ensure the updating and development of proposals to key DBN regarding bridges, considering actual challenges in the road industry;

• to perform timely inspections of bridges with subsequent submission of results to AESUM;

• to ensure special inspections of damaged and ruined bridges;

• to provide scientific and technical support for the purpose of implementing modern global practices and solving non-typical issues, especially on damaged bridges;

• to develop requirements for performance of technical inventory of bridges;

• to create an expert council of specialists for considering and development of solutions regarding problematic issues of bridge industry;

• to ensure the arrangement of professional training for workers in bridge industry, in particular regarding bridge testing.

We are sincerely grateful to all the participants of the Conference for their active work and we continue to prepare for the rehabilitation of our transport infrastructure, as victory is very soon!
