UNECE ITC
Artem Bezuglyi, Director of the State Enterprise “National Institute for Development Infrastructure” took part in the 40th session of the Expert Group on the European Agreement concerning the Work of Crews of Vehicles Engaged in International Road Transport, and in the 88th session of the Inland Transport Committee of the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE).
Once again, with the support of European partners, the Ukrainian side blocked attempts by the Russian aggressor to introduce amendments to the European Agreement and UNECE ITC decisions that would allow Russia to bypass sanctions. These sanctions prevent Russian carriers from conducting international road transport in many countries due to the lack of special driver cards for tachographs.
Transport policies worldwide are increasingly focused on the use of artificial intelligence and the development of safe, flexible, and resilient road infrastructure adapted to the needs of automated vehicles.
Importantly, Ukraine’s representative Roman Symonenko, Acting Deputy Director for Quality at the State Enterprise “DerzhavtotransNDIproekt,” was once again re-elected as a member of the UNECE ITC Bureau.
We continue working to ensure that Ukraine’s road infrastructure meets the highest international standards, remains safe, innovative, and ready for future challenges.
