CONFERENCE ON BUILDING AND STRUCTURE INSPECTION

On August 15, the State Enterprise “National Institute for Infrastructure Development”, together with the State Agency for Restoration and Infrastructure Development of Ukraine, held a scientific and practical conference titled “Technical Inspection of Buildings and Structures Using Advanced Methods. Non-Destructive Testing in Construction”.

Leading researchers from scientific research institutes and universities, as well as suppliers of innovative products, joined forces to present innovations and their own experience in the inspection of buildings and structures of various purposes.

The main topics of the event were:

– legislative and regulatory framework for the inspection of buildings and structures;
– practical experience in the technical inspection of buildings and structures damaged or destroyed as a result of hostilities;
– methods of modern diagnostics of structures in damaged infrastructure facilities, in particular non-destructive testing;
– modern technical means and equipment for inspecting damaged buildings and structures;
– the feasibility of providing scientific and technical support for road works during wartime.

The issue of building and structure inspection has become particularly important during the war period. Inspection specialists are among the first to document the consequences of facilities damaged by Russian armed aggression and subsequently make decisions regarding the possibility of further operation of the facility and develop appropriate restoration measures.
