NTU CONFERENCE
On May 12, Artem Bezuglyi, Director of the State Enterprise "National Institute for Development Infrastructure", took part in the opening of the 82nd scientific conference of faculty, postgraduates, students, and staff of the National Transport University.
This was more than a scientific event — it was a platform where education, research, engineering thinking, and the practical challenges of rebuilding Ukraine come together.
In his remarks, Artem Bezuglyi emphasized that the transport system is more than roads and bridges. It is economic resilience, people’s mobility, logistics, defense capability, and our connection to the European space.
That is why the guiding principle of recovery is Build Back Better: to rebuild not merely “as it was,” but better.
“Better” means infrastructure that is safer, more resilient, more accessible, greener, and smarter — infrastructure that accounts for military risks, climate challenges, people’s needs, decarbonization, and digitalization.
Achieving this is impossible without European standards, technology transfer, transparency, accountability, and the development of human capital.
Thank you to the National Transport University for the invitation and the expert discussion.
We are convinced that solutions for a high‑quality recovery of Ukraine’s infrastructure are born at the intersection of science, education, and practice.
