Very soon, an event will bring together leading experts in the field of bridge engineering: the 5th International Scientific and Practical Conference named after P.M. Koval “Restoration and Development of Bridges: Challenges, Trends, Innovations,” which will take place on December 10–12, 2025, in the village of Slavske, Stryi district, Lviv region!

One of the keynote speakers will be Volodymyr KASKIV, PhD in Technical Sciences, Associate Professor, and Deputy Director for Research at the State Enterprise “National Infrastructure Development Institute.” He will present the key provisions of the updated edition of DBN V.2.3-22:2025 “Bridges and Culverts. Basic Design Requirements,” which forms the modern regulatory foundation for the restoration and development of Ukraine’s bridge infrastructure. The topic is driven by the large-scale need to rebuild damaged and destroyed bridges, as well as the necessity to harmonize Ukrainian standards with modern European approaches.
