EXPERT COUNCIL ON BRIDGES

On February 8, 2023, the team of the State Enterprise “DerzhdorNDI” held the first meeting of the Expert Council on Bridge Infrastructure via Zoom.

The Expert Council included 90 specialists from the bridge engineering sector, representatives of asset holders, design and construction organizations, who will work on:

  • addressing problematic issues in Ukraine’s bridge sector and improving the regulatory and technical framework;
  • developing and submitting proposals for the implementation of advanced methods of construction, repair, and maintenance of bridges and other transport structures;
  • researching and developing recommendations for the implementation of the latest achievements of domestic and international science and engineering.

During the first meeting, participants discussed current technical issues related to the draft DBN V.2.3-22:202X “Bridges and Culverts. Basic Design Requirements.”

A follow-up meeting is planned in the near future, during which the identification of key issues for the development of the bridge engineering sector will be carried out.
