DSTU REGARDING REQUIREMENTS ON TRAFFIC LIGHTS
Today, at the next Release of the Platform of Road Innovations, the II edition of the Draft DSTU 4092:202X "Traffic safety. Traffic lights. General technical requirements. Rules of application" developed by "DerzhdorNDI" SE had been presented.
The specified DSTU provides for a number of innovations, in particular the following:
- ensuring terminological compatibility with other current regulatory documents;
- coordination of DSTU provisions and requirements with other normative legal acts, building regulations and regulatory documents;
- consideration of the European and world experience in arranging traffic light objects;
- introduction of a new type of traffic lights for control the traffic of cyclists, including bicycle crossings;
- establishment of requirements for traffic light regulation parameters, which significantly affect the level of traffic safety at road intersections;
- possibility of synchronizing traffic light objects with road marking studs.
