DSTU on CLASSIFICATION OF WORKS

The team of the SE “National Institute for Development Infrastructure” continues to actively work on improving Ukraine's regulatory framework in the road sector.

Today, October 1, 2025, DSTU 8747:2025 “Public roads. Types and lists of repair and maintenance works” developed by the team of the SE “NIDI” comes into force. On this occasion, we organized a public presentation of the updated standard.

Almost 250 specialists from various organizations and enterprises gathered for the event: representatives of the customer, contractor, design organizations, scientific institutions, professional associations, suppliers of modern equipment, and the general public.

Since the previous version of the standard came into effect in 2017, the updated DSTU 8747 contains many important innovations:

  •  refined lists of road works for capital and routine repairs and operational maintenance, which take into account domestic and international experience, the development of new technologies, and modern approaches to organizing and performing work;
  •  refined inter-repair periods for road pavement operation, which are set depending on its material, category of motorway, and type of road surface;
  •  up-to-date road terminology, taking into account the requirements of Ukrainian spelling, and much more.
