DAY OF REMEMBRANCE AND VICTORY OVER NAZISM
Today is an important day for the entire Ukrainian nation — the Day of Remembrance and Victory over Nazism in the Second World War of 1939–1945.
Today is the day we remember all those who endured the horrors of World War II, who gave their lives for the peaceful sky above our heads. This is not just a date on the calendar — it is a symbol of our ability to reconcile with the pain of the past, with the shadow of war that left incurable wounds in the hearts of millions.
War has once again come to our land. We cannot reconcile with this present — with the cruelty that is destroying our homes, with the pain of loss felt by hundreds of thousands of Ukrainian families. We cannot and must not forget our heroes — the men and women who stand on the front lines, defending our freedom and future. Their courage and self-sacrifice are the highest expression of love for Ukraine.
We continue to fight, united by shared hardship. Today, the Ukrainian nation is stronger than ever, continuing to demonstrate power, strength, and bravery in every area — on the battlefield, in air defense forces, at diplomatic meetings, at workplaces in the rear, during inspections of destroyed buildings, and in preparing for the large-scale recovery of our country.
Peace to all of us, strength, and faith. Together — to victory!
