CONCRETE ROADS 2023

From June 26 to 28, 2023, Artem Bezuglyi, Director of "DerzhdorNDI" SE, attended "Concrete Roads 2023" International Symposium, which brought together more than 220 participants from 28 countries - from all continents. Within the framework of the event, almost 80 speakers presented their experience and scientific achievements on a number of topics, in particular

- Durability of concrete pavement roads in Japan;

- implementation of the first cement concrete pavement in South Africa;

- peculiarities of the construction of two-layer rolled concrete used in Turkey;

- improving the resistance of  concrete roads to floods in the United States;

- opportunities for reuse of cement concrete after 80 years of use on the example of the A-18 highway;

- generation of thermal energy through porous cement concrete pavement in France;

- use of Whitetopping technology in the Czech Republic,

- use of recycled rubber crumbs in oncrete safety barriers.

Also, as part of the symposium, participants from all over the world had the opportunity to get acquainted with the functioning A1 highway in the Silesian Voivodeship, the construction of a concrete road in a tunnel in Batowice, and a pedestrian and bicycle path in Skawina.

Our team is currently developing a whole package of regulations for the construction of  concrete roads, and therefore they will take into account the best international practices.
