TRAFFIC SAFETY

“DerzhdorNDI” SE specialists developed the first edition of DSTU Project 4036: 20ХХ “Traffic Safety. Road studs. General specifications”.

In the developed version of DSTU project:

  • the colour of the road studs was agreed for indication of the road left edge with the dividing strip and the safety islands in accordance with the Traffic Convention;
  • supplemented the classification with a new type of road studs for their application on the curb stone of safety islands and traffic guiding islands;
  • clarification of the rules for the use and location of road studs.

This DSTU project is being developed for implementation instead of DSTU 4036-2001 “Traffic Safety. Road studs. General specifications».

Implementation of road studs on the roads will increase traffic safety on roads and streets in the dark time (night, twighlight evening and morning) and in conditions of poor visibility, particularly, in unfavourable weather conditions.
