ATTESTATION OF MACHINES FOR HORIZONTAL ROAD MARKING

The works on attestation of road marking using the marking machines is going on. This week the specialists of "DerzhdorNDI" SE had certified the HOFMANN H18 marking machines for the entrepreneur’s company  «G. I. Kolybabiuk» in Ivano-Frankivsk, Ukraine.

The HOFMANN H18 machine is a multipurpose one as it is designed for application of road marking by paint as well as by plastics of cold application. In the machine's settings, a mode of constant thickness of the paint layer regardless of the marking speed can be selected, or the material consumption rate can be adjusted manually. When using the HOFMANN H18, it is possible to apply smooth, structured or profiled marking by plastic of cold application.

 During checking the quality of application of marking using the paint and cold plastic, the following indicators are determined including:

- geometrical size (stroke length, line width, etc.);

- luminance factor (whiteness);

- luminance factor at the scattered daylight and artificial lighting and the retroreflectivity factor.

For road marking applied using the paint, the thickness of the paint liquid layer is to be determined additionally.

The results of verification have to be drawn up by the Test report, the Certificate is issued on the basis of the Test report and support documents.
