ATTESTATION OF MACHINES FOR HORIZONTAL ROAD MARKING APPLICATION

New season for application (renewal) of  road marking on highways will start soon. Before starting the work, the contractors must have the certification of marking machines on the ability for horizontal road marking application that meets the requirements of regulatory documents.

Recently, the  employees of Road Equipment Department jointly with the representatives of the Certification Authority of the "DerzhdorNDI" SE executed the works on certification of road marking made by LINELIZER and HOFMANN marking machines. The works were executed at "Road and Maintenance Department of Repairing and Maintenance of Roads and Facilities of Obolonskyi district" Municipal Enterprise of Kyiv.

The following was executed:

- verification of geometrical sizes (stroke length, line width, etc.) performed by metal tape in accordance with DSTU 2587: 2010 and SOU 42.1-37641918-116: 2014;

-determination of the luminance factor (whiteness) using of ZRM 1021 reflectometer in accordance with the SOU 42.1-37641918-117: 2014;

- determination of thickness of paint liquid layer using a calibrated comb at the stage of application;

- determination of the luminance  factor in condiions of  scattered daylight and artificial lighting and the retrorefleсtivity coefficient using the  ZRM 1013 retroflectometer in accordance with SOU 42.1-37641918-117: 2014.

Results of the verification have to be drawn up by the Test report; the Certificate is to be issued on the basis of the Test report  ad supporting documents.
