ELIMINATION OF SOVIET RUDIMENTS FROM THE PRICING SYSTEM IS STARTED

A meeting of RST representatives at Ukravtodor, “DerzhdorNDI” SE, Baker McKenzie with Olena Shuliak, the People’s Deputy, was held today at the Ministry of Regional Development. The discussion was devoted to transparency, simplicity and accessibility of infrastructure procurement.

The following is planned to be fulfilled till the end of the year:

- finalization of tender requirements: elimination of specific brands of machines, equipment, etc .;

- priorities for quality indicators in the acceptance of works, in accordance with the definitions in the contract;

- when developing the technical part of the contract documentation that contains physical volumes and cost indicators, the standard measurement methodology CESMM-3 should be used;

- forms of contracts according to FIDIC standards - a universal and standardized system of documents that will ensure a balance between the interests of the Customer and the Contractor for quality and timely performing of duties.

The tasks mentioned above will allow reaching the world level: to launch procurement according to the current international standards, expand the market and strengthen control at all stages of work.

Also, the responsibility of the Contractor is strengthened, who is obliged to perform the required volume of work in accordance with the terms of the contract. The Ukrainian road industry needs radical solutions that will reset the market.
