SUPERPAVE SYSTEM

"DerzhdorNDI" SE jointly with "Dorcenter" SE invites all interested specialists to take part in the online presentation of the modern American system of asphalt mixtures design SUPERPAVE on July 11, 2023 at 10:00 am.

The SUPERPAVE system:
- developed in the USA in the 90s;
- establishes requirements for the selection of bitumen, aggregates and other asphalt mixture components, as well as their ratio depending on climatic conditions, traffic load and depth of asphalt in the pavement structure;
- sets requirements for further assessment of water, rutting, and crack resistance of the designed asphalt concrete;
- has high efficiency, which is confirmed by 30 years of experience;
- reduces rutting and cracking, as well as extends the service life of asphalt concrete layers;
- is used in many countries around the world, including the United States, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, and is gaining popularity in a number of other developed countries, including the European Union.

The tentative program of the online presentation:

1 The history of creation and basic principles of SUPERPAVE system, where you will learn what the Superpave system is, what are its advantages, how it is used, and what results have been achieved through the use of this system.

Speaker: A representative of the Superpave developers or a representative of ASTM or AASHTO.

2 Study of the SUPERPAVE system in Ukraine, where you will learn about the establishment of climatic conditions for asphalt concrete in the construction of pavement based on Superpave principles in accordance with the climate of Ukraine.

Speaker: representative of "DerzhdorNDI" SE.

3 First laboratory tests of bitumen and asphalt concrete in accordance with the Superpave system.

Speakers: representatives of "Avtomagistral-Pivden" LLC, "Dorcenter" SE and Polish ORLEN ASPHALT on their bitumen research.

4 Equipment used in the Superpave system.

Speakers: representatives of manufacturers or suppliers of the relevant equipment.

5 Interactive discussion of all participants of the event.

6 Summarizing the results and developing directions for further work.
