Platform of Innovations

We invite you to the 51st edition of the Platform of Innovations, during which, for the first time, a German practical solution for enabling the passage of oversized and overweight transport across damaged and load-restricted bridge structures will be presented.

Germany and Ukraine periodically face the same challenge: aging bridges on local roads are often unable to accommodate the transport of oversized loads required for the implementation of energy and infrastructure projects.

During the event, Bridge Builder GmbH (Germany) will present the Bridge-over-Bridge technology, an ultra-light steel structure up to 16 metres in length that is installed on top of an existing bridge and fully carries the load of heavy transport.

We encourage everyone to pay special attention to this edition because:

  •  the solution enables the transportation of wind energy equipment, transformers, energy storage systems, and other oversized cargo even across outdated or damaged local bridges;
  •  the installation time of the structure ranges from 2 to 6 hours;
  •  the technology can be used to deploy temporary bridges outside existing road corridors without the need for foundation construction;
  •  approximately 40 projects were implemented in Germany over the past year.
