DSTU on PRIORITIZATION

The team of the State Enterprise “National Institute for Development Infrastructure” has developed the draft of the first edition of the national standard DSTU _:202 “Public Roads. Planning and Execution of Current Repair and Maintenance Works”!

The DSTU introduces a number of important innovations, namely: 

  •  Establishing clear requirements for planning, scope, and quality control of current repair and maintenance works; 
  •  Updating the norms of annual financial expenditures for maintaining 1 km of state and local roads to the current price level; 
  •  Unifying requirements for maintaining road pavement with all types of surface materials — from concrete to crushed stone, as well as unpaved roads; 
  •  Systematizing rules for operating and restoring elements of the roadbed, transport structures, and the entire road drainage system; 
  •  Comprehensive regulation of measures for road accident prevention, preparation for floods and high water, and safe passage of ice flows.

The implementation of this standard is aimed at ensuring the proper transport and operational condition of Ukrainian roads, improving traffic safety, efficient use of budgetary resources, and extending the service life of road structures.
