How is the road facilities priority system built?

Current mid-term repairing – is it a problem or new opportunities?

What innovations have we implemented in the road industry this year?

The answers to these and other questions were highlighted today by Artem Bezuglyi, Director of “DerzhdorNDI” SE within the framework of “Road Network: Forum of the Road Industry”.

An important achievement of this year was a scientifically based approach to the prioritization of road facilities, based not on political whishes of officials, but on the specific estimates: the social and economic effect of road sections recovery, the level of traffic intensiveness, the coefficient of pavement strength, etc.

Fast and high-quality recovery of record number of kilometers of roads in 2020 would be impossible without a properly organized system of project documentation evaluation. Each design solution, construction of pavement, scheme of traffic arrangement- are considered in details by specialists and experts in the road industry, in particular – specialists of “DerzhdorNDI” SE, “Ukrdiprodor” SE " and other organizations in the framework of Section5.

The current mid-term repairing of the roads in 2020 involves not the partial elimination of defects, but a complex renewal of transport and operational indicators of the road:

• bringing the technical parameters of road pavement construction to regulatory requirements;

• installation of damping (amortization) systems;

• installation of modern road navigation signs;

• arrangement of bus stops;

• arrangement of sidewalks and lighting in settlements.

Today, modern materials and technologies are using actively on the road facilities:

• rubblizing;

• rolled compacted concrete (RCC);

• continuous reinforcement of cement-concrete pavement using non-metallic reinforcement;

• use of slag;

• corrugated structures;

• soil stabilizers, etc.

The implementation by our specialists of hundreds of harmonized national standards in the road facilities and active work on the development of Amendments to the State Construction Regulations - is a reliable foundation for the further development of the industry.

The coordinated work of all specialists allows to get a very high result that you see with your own eyes. Modern, comfortable and safe infrastructure - is a significant factor in reducing the consequences of the "corona crisis" and the basis for increasing of the national welfare of our citizens.
