CHERNIVTSI UNIVERSITY
On the eve of Knowledge Day in Ukraine, the Director of the State Enterprise "National Institute for Infrastructure Development," Artem Bezuglyi, and Deputy Director Bohdan Stasiuk, along with colleagues from the State Agency for Restoration and Development of Infrastructure of Ukraine, led by Roman Komendant, had the unique opportunity to visit one of the oldest classical Universities - Yuriy Fedkovych Chernivtsi National University and familiarize themselves with its operations.
The main building of the University previously served as the residence of the Metropolitans of Bukovina and Dalmatia and is currently included in the UNESCO World Cultural Heritage list.
Last year, the University ranked 6th in the Scopus database indicators and also holds the 6th position in the consolidated ranking of higher education institutions across Ukraine.
The University’s Rector, Ruslan Biloskurskyi, discussed the challenges and issues the University faces in preparing higher education professionals. In the context of a shortage of specialists in the field of infrastructure restoration and development, it is crucial to establish cooperation with higher education institutions to produce well-prepared professionals.
Particularly interesting was the visit to the Faculty of Geography and the introduction to its Dean, Myroslav Zayachuk, who showcased the modern geodetic equipment that students are trained to use, as well as presenting intriguing results from paleontological research.
Today is Knowledge Day in Ukraine, and we sincerely congratulate all educators, teachers, researchers, and other colleagues involved in this important celebration! Your work is incredibly important for the development of society and the future of our country, especially in the current circumstances. We wish everyone inspiration, new discoveries, and success in all endeavors. May this and all subsequent academic years be fruitful and bring many joyful moments, new discoveries, and exciting challenges!
